As dawn breaks across The City, nearly 100 Bleeders move on The Risen.
Two Vans and a dozen Bikes scream down FDR Drive, spreading out as they arrive at the Industrial Zone.
Another 50 or more Bleeders have boarded the subway, and flood out of the 51st Street Station.
Our focus follows the Party and Double-Zero as they move in on St Bart's Church, known to be a hang-out of Risen. Emily, and Leatherheads, move deeper into Risen turf.

Vinnie and his crew set light to a Risen motorbike outside the church, and then attack the local stores (Vinnie cannot enter the Sanctified Ground!), while Grendel throws another bike through a stained-glass window! Mack, Double-Zero, 10 Independents and Dr Watt move into the church, looking to place the blocks of Plastique that they have raided from Blaine's armoury.
The attendant Risen dive for cover, and start to shoot crossbows, as the indies head for the stair-wells.
Grendel returns fire, and Mack begins his Demolitions. Dr Watt surveys the situation, and disperses tactical Information.

Grendel's crossbow skills are superior to The Risen, and after she has taken 2 snipers out of the fight, the Risen decide to get up-close and personal!
The stairways are blocked, as the indies try to force their way up, but the defending Risen know how to hold the area.
As one, six Risen leap from the balconies, black trench-coats whirling, fangs and claws glittering in the morning light. One drops on a Double-Zero, but another's fall is diverted by a well-placed crossbow bolt.

Mack assess the Mind of the Risen firing from behind the Altar, learning that they are relying on their reinforcements. Vinnie is informed.
Dr Watt stabs his way towards the fallen D-Z, as the Risen try to trap the Indies in the stairwell ... they reckoned without Mack and Grendel's superior skills, and it is the Risen who are trapped!

Vinnie has met the reinforcements, and a Looting turns into a fight he can't win!
He blunt's the Risen's charge with a grenade, Hallucinated to appear as more, but he is the only Expert Warrior, his crew can't stand up to this many (15) Risen Warriors!

The last demo-charge is placed, and Mack's call passes through the Bleeders comms:
"Surf's Up, people! No waiting, SURF IS UP! NOW!"
The mood changes, as what was a rapid attack, and then a fight for survival now turns into a rapid exit!
Dr Watt shepherds out the troops, with Grendel blocking any Risen who try to stop them. Mack grabs the fallen D-Z bike, and rides out, clicking the detonator as he clears the arched door ...

BOOM!

Smoke and flame engulf the church, allowing Mack to set off his Psychic Projection: Pulling a wheelie away from the explosion, Mack is a BAD-ASS!

The Risen reinforcements turn from Vinnie's crew, and realise that they are now out-numbered ... time to flee!
Several hostages are taken, including Kyron, the Head of the Attack Cell that killed Terrence!

This crew of Bleeders moves to support the other attacks, most of which are doing quite well.
Across to the West, the attack is faltering, and people are moved over post-haste!

Before the sun has reached it's height, the Bleeders are headed back to turf (many by the Long Route round the subway), bloodied but victorious!
(10 serious injuries, many walking-wounded).

Back home the hostages are questioned.
Of particular interest is Kyron, who was hired by Charlie to attack Terrence.
Combined with information from the other Risen, it turns out that there is a problem with the Risen's Mitochondrial Vampirism! A Bleeder they only know as "Billy" had been working with them to improve it, and address some long-term side-effects, but it has led to a rapid-onset of collapsing metabolisms!
The attack on Terrence was a revenge for this.

So what now?

5xp.
It's almost Xmas, if anyone is interested ... many religions/cultures will be celebrating mid-winter in some way. Voodoo definitely.

Aside:
Quote:
4 years ago a crack commando unit faked its own death to avoid punishment for a crime they didn't commit. These men recently escaped from a devastating Gang War, in the Manhattan underground. Today, still wanted by the Bleeders, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Risen-Team.
