I've been thinking about opening up the vacant sixth player slot, see if we can find someone to warm that seat once again. What do you chaps reckon? _________________ Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either. |

I certainly have no problems with a 6th player. I don't Martin is interested in playing which is a shame

FYI, the finale to 'Caveat Pactor' starts this week and may last anywhere between one and three sessions (notwithstanding acts of Mikey/Dave). After that we shall be taking a break c/o 'Mr. Hickman & His Magnificent Zombie Dying Machines' for a few sessions or so, then we'll go back to the final chapter of Shade of Night, 'Praeternatural', if people want to.
As for the sixth person, if we can find one, perhaps joining in with Kev's break game will be a good icebreaker. Unless anyone has any other ideas. _________________ Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either. |

Cheers for the nod but it's GAME OFF this week due to some people going to see a comedy act at the Crite that night. Back on for the week after though (probably for the last session in this chapter). _________________ Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either. |

After next week we'll be playing Kev's breakgame for a little while. That's the plan anyway. _________________ Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either. |

FTAO Nick:
I need to know what action Marco takes in the closing moments of Chapter 2: Caveat Pactor. Your last instruction was to have Marco run away, so that’s what he did for the most part of the finale; however, there comes a moment when an alternate option presents itself...
Marco tried to run away from the time-twisted visions in his mind. He made for the decrepit office area at the back of the factory floor, where the stair wells are, with a spooked Helena trying to keep up. For a short while he became separated from the little gothic shadow and found his own way down the darkened and dusty stairs to the ground floor of the Victorian coffin; perhaps she’d not been able to keep up or had turned to go back. With time still swirling in Marco’s mind, inducing nausea the likes of which never before felt, awareness of the passage of time became impossible.
With shrill screams of, “do something!” and, “get me out of here!” Helena stumbled down the stairs in the grip of flat out panic and grabbed Marco’s hand on the way out, both now being chased by the horrendous invisible monstrosity. Who knows what had become of the others up there. Dashing outside into the night gloom of the derelict factory compound a dark coloured 4x4 with a dazzling array of lamps mounted on bullbars growled around the side of the factory and came to a rocking halt not 20 metres away.
Still confused by the now ebbing tempest of time in his mind, Marco was aware of the bright white lights of the 4x4, the looming presence of the invisible Bloodhound and the tight grip of Helena’s hand around his. Someone vomited up their fear and exhaustion close by; Helena, probably. For a confusing moment it appeared as if the Bloodhound became struck still where it stood, now visible, trapped even, within a cone of faded electric purple luminance. The 4x4 looked to be the source of this cone of bluish light. A door on the 4x4 swung open and Helena desperately urged Marco to follow her, tugging at his hand: “Come on! Get in! Get in! Quickly!”
Does Marco...
...allow Helena to lead him into the waiting 4x4? (Turn to page 217.)
...pull away from Helena, not climb inside the 4x4 and take his chances with the Bloodhound? (Turn to page 51.)
...pull out the Amulet of Creation, which he had filched from God’s Own Holy Pocket when He was busy with other pressing cosmic matters, and order the Bloodhound Demon to ‘Not Exist’? (Turn to page 399.)
...stick pencils up his nose, put a pair of pants on his head, say “wibble,” a lot and give up on this wasted life? (Turn to page 1.)
PS. Marco doesn’t have an Amulet of Creation and nor does he have any pencils to hand; furthermore, he may not have time to whip his pants off either. I was just being humorous. _________________ Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either. |

| If Marco is not completely bonkers courtesy of seeing a big bad ( I thought he was, but could be mistaken). Then he'd probably go off with Helena. In which case its quite likely that the beans will be well and truly spilt as to exactly where yon beasty came from. Assuming the watchers take any notice of his mad rambling. |
